My Chat with Steinhart

I was "poppy"

I gave them the fake email address: poppy@marijuna.com

I didn't even spell marijuana correctly!

CW Follow-Up and New Item on Wishlist

The above is a Titoni that is on my wishlist, but I may go for a less Swarovski crystally one.

The Christopher Ward C5 I reviewed is still working well and I'm happy with my purchase.

Christopher Ward C5 Malvern Automatic C5SSS

The C5 Malvern is the best watch I have ever owned. It is elegant, unknown (as a brand) and good value for money. It's a heavy, well-weighted watch and could easily sell like hot-cakes for £600 with a better box.

The clasp is well-made and sturdy:

It comes with a lot of "nice touches:"

Cleaning Cloth
Good Box
Velvet-like pillow thing
Hand signed and addressed note from Chris himself
and
A very tempting catalogue

It has a reliable ETA 2824-2 gold-plated Swiss automatic movement:

It has a useful date display among other things as shown in the following image:

Display case back:

And If you don't like boring old stainless steel, it's also available in these different colour-combos:

If you have a bit of money burning a hole in your pocket, go and buy one today - I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

A Two Tone for Under £2500!

Wow!

Good watches at good prices by the looks of it. I like the designs - very simple and elegant. Christopher Ward

What's the point?

Why pay for this $1000 fake when you can get an authentic Swiss watch like this for the same money?

Please note: It doesn't have to be a Rado and there are plenty of genuine Swiss watches with a day and date display for less than 1000USD.

Dave Barry

I found a funny quote recently:

An excellence-oriented '80s male does not wear a regular watch. He
wears a Rolex watch, because it weighs nearly six pounds and is
advertised only in excellence-oriented publications such as Fortune and
Rich Protestant Golfer Magazine. The advertisements are written in
incomplete sentences, which is how advertising copywriters denote
excellence:

"The Rolex Hyperion. An elegant new standard in quality excellence and
discriminating handcraftsmanship. For the individual who is truly able
to discriminate with regard to excellent quality standards of crafting
things by hand. Fabricated of 100 percent 24-karat gold. No watch
parts or anything. Just a great big chunk on your wrist. Truly a
timeless statement. For the individual who is very secure. Who
doesn't need to be reminded all the time that he is very successful.
Much more successful than the people who laughed at him in high
school. Because of his acne. People who are probably nowhere near as
successful as he is now. Maybe he'll go to his 20th reunion, and
they'll see his Rolex Hyperion. Hahahahahahahahaha."
