Christopher Ward Future Watches
The C1 (Classy small second quartz) should be around £165
The C6 or Kingfisher (Diver) should be around £185
Gold C4 concepts are in the works.
He will consider my idea of adding tags (like Rolex's COSC red tag or Steinhart's brand name tag.)

So far only a T-Shirt, but I'm a bit short of ideas at the moment. If you would like that design on another CafePress object, write a comment and I'll see what I can do.

My Chat with Steinhart
I was "poppy"
I gave them the fake email address: poppy@marijuna.com
I didn't even spell marijuana correctly!
Sales: Hello and thank you for contacting the Steinhart Sales Department. We are here to answer any sales related questions which you might have about our products. Please enter your question in below.
poppy: Do you ship to the UK?
poppy: Is there an extra charge due to currency exchange?
poppy: Hello?
Sales: Yes, we do ship to UK.
Sales: The shipping cost is a flat rate shipping fee of $85
poppy: $85? Is that insured with a tracking number?
Sales: yes, it is insured with tracking.
poppy: FedEx?
Sales: Either FedEx or UPS, I'm not in the shipping department, but which ever is quicker and more secure.
poppy: Is it possible to choose?
Sales: We can define a preference.
poppy: Is there an extra charge due to currency exchange?
Sales: No, the payment is in US $, so there is no conversion costs.
poppy: Where are the watches assembled?
Sales: They are Swiss made, shipped to the USA.
poppy: Do you have any resellers closer to the UK?
Sales: We don't currently have resellers, we will ship the watch from Florida.
poppy: Can I get it directly from the factory?
Sales: Let me check for you.
Sales: What watch are you looking for?
poppy: GMT OCEAN 1 42mm Black
Sales: I see,
Sales: We can't ship from Switzerland to you because of inventory control issues. We will ship the watch from here and you will get it in a few days.
poppy: But that is a great waste of money and fuel.
poppy: If I need a part
poppy: Will you have to ship it from FL
poppy: ?
Sales: Yes, that's how it is.
Sales: Sorry.
poppy: Which factory are the watches made in?
Sales: Ours... do you want to order?
poppy: Can you give me any other clientele of this factory?
Sales: Visit our website and read our customer reviews and then order online.
Sales: Simple.
poppy: I would like to know what other people use this factory if any.
poppy: Example: Tag Heuer, Breitling
Sales: Revue Thommen is the factory.
Sales: Visit their website.
Sales: and you'll see an entire list.
poppy: Thanks
Sales: It is one of the oldest companies and they are great.
Sales: We ship from the US.
poppy: You don't have to tell me how good they are, I know!
Sales: Good.

CW Follow-Up and New Item on Wishlist
The above is a Titoni that is on my wishlist, but I may go for a less Swarovski crystally one.
The Christopher Ward C5 I reviewed is still working well and I'm happy with my purchase.

Christopher Ward C5 Malvern Automatic C5SSS
The C5 Malvern is the best watch I have ever owned. It is elegant, unknown (as a brand) and good value for money. It's a heavy, well-weighted watch and could easily sell like hot-cakes for £600 with a better box.
The clasp is well-made and sturdy:
It comes with a lot of "nice touches:"
Cleaning Cloth
Good Box
Velvet-like pillow thing
Hand signed and addressed note from Chris himself
and
A very tempting catalogue
It has a reliable ETA 2824-2 gold-plated Swiss automatic movement:
It has a useful date display among other things as shown in the following image:
Display case back:
And If you don't like boring old stainless steel, it's also available in these different colour-combos:
If you have a bit of money burning a hole in your pocket, go and buy one today - I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Dave Barry
I found a funny quote recently:
An excellence-oriented '80s male does not wear a regular watch. He
wears a Rolex watch, because it weighs nearly six pounds and is
advertised only in excellence-oriented publications such as Fortune and
Rich Protestant Golfer Magazine. The advertisements are written in
incomplete sentences, which is how advertising copywriters denote
excellence:
"The Rolex Hyperion. An elegant new standard in quality excellence and
discriminating handcraftsmanship. For the individual who is truly able
to discriminate with regard to excellent quality standards of crafting
things by hand. Fabricated of 100 percent 24-karat gold. No watch
parts or anything. Just a great big chunk on your wrist. Truly a
timeless statement. For the individual who is very secure. Who
doesn't need to be reminded all the time that he is very successful.
Much more successful than the people who laughed at him in high
school. Because of his acne. People who are probably nowhere near as
successful as he is now. Maybe he'll go to his 20th reunion, and
they'll see his Rolex Hyperion. Hahahahahahahahaha."

Rolex Forums
The Rolex Forums or "TRF" members are very friendly and informative about Rolexes and other high and low end watches.
If you want some good watch pictures to drool over it's also a good place to visit.
